FAQs

What makes Willow Go™ different from traditional breast pumps?

Willow Go™ is unique because, unlike traditional breast pumps, everything works inside the pump, inside your bra—no external tubes, cords, wires, or dangling bottles. This smart, hands-free pump connects to our app for step-by-step onboarding, easy session tracking, and pumping pro tips. Learn more about why Willow or check out our blog post for more information on how Willow pumps differ from manual and electric breast pumps.

What are the differences between Willow® 3.0 and Willow Go?

Willow 3.0 offers complete, leak-free mobility when pumping with our Spill-Proof Milk Bags. With its gravity-defying continuous latch suction technology, you can pump in any position, from bending over to lying down. Willow Go doesn’t offer as full of a range of motion, but offers the same completely in-bra design and lets you pump totally hands-free and untethered. Willow Go’s “tug and release” suction technology is comparable to traditional pumps and other wearable pump brands.

Willow 3.0 offers more milk storage options. It’s compatible with Spill-Proof Milk Bags and reusable Containers, while Willow Go offers Containers only.

Both pumps are app connected, but Willow 3.0 offers smart pumping that tracks volume in real time and automatically records your session. Check out our comparison page for more, or take our pump quiz to decide which pump is right for you.

Is Willow Go covered by insurance?

Some women are able to obtain full or partial reimbursement for their Willow Pump and accessories through insurance. Use our Insurance Verifier to check your coverage and purchase your discounted pump.

As you navigate through this process, start with our guide on how to get a breast pump covered by your insurance. It gives you all the questions that you need to take to your insurance provider to understand how to obtain coverage and the costs involved.

Can I use my HSA/FSA?

Yes, you can. Simply pay for your breast pump and accessories using your FSA/HSA debit card at checkout, or pay with another credit card and submit your receipt to your plan administrator for reimbursement.

Do you offer financing?

Yes! We partner with Affirm to offer split pay and installment payment plans for Willow pumps. Learn more about our financing options.

How many ounces does Willow Go hold?

Willow Go holds up to 5 oz of milk (10 oz total). If you pump more than 5 oz per side, purchase our 7 oz containers to pump up to 14 oz per session (sold separately).

What do you mean by hospital grade suction strength?

We know every ounce matters when it comes to pumping and breastfeeding, so we engineer and test our pumps to optimize milk expression and comfort. Willow 3.0 and Willow Go have a wearable, in-bra design, with a suction range and strength that is comparable to traditional double electric and hospital grade pumps. Willow 3.0 offers a proprietary continuous latch suction and unique pumping waveform with up to -245mmHG maximum suction. Willow Go offers maximum suction up to -280mmHG. Willow pumps are closed system pumps, just like hospital grade pumps.

While Willow’s suction strength is equivalent to hospital grade pumps, Willow pumps are single-user and have been clinically tested with established milk supply. Consult your health care provider if you are seeking to initiate lactation with a breast pump.

Which bras do you suggest with Willow Go?

For your best pumping experience, we recommend a full coverage nursing bra that's stretchy and has a flap - no underwires or padding. It should hold the pumps securely in place when fastened. The Willow Perfect Pumping Bra works great with both Willow 3.0 and Willow Go.

What smartphones does the Willow Go App support?

The Willow Go™ App is available for devices that run the following operating systems:

iOS 14 and higher

Android OS 10 and higher (must support Bluetooth 5.1)

Keep in mind, due to the significant number of different Android device models, Willow® cannot guarantee optimal performance of our pumps across all devices.

How do I charge Willow Go?

The Willow Go pump kit includes two USB charging cables which can be used with any standard 5 Volt USB power source. We recommend at least 5 Volt 2 Amp adapters for fastest charging.

Does Willow Go have a warranty?

Yes! Willow Go is covered under a 12 month warranty from the purchase date. Accessories - all replaceable pump parts including but not limited to flanges, containers, diaphragms, duckbills, chargers and sizing inserts- are covered under a 90 day warranty. Please review our warranty policy.

Since breast pumps are single-user devices, use by more than one person, including purchasing second hand, will invalidate the warranty. Please keep your original proof of purchase from onewillow.com or an authorized retailer as it is required to exercise your warranty.

Can I return Willow Go?

Breast pumps and accessories are regulated as single-user products, and cannot be returned once the safety seal has been broken. See our returns policy.

• You can return an unopened Willow Pump within 60 days of the purchase date. If you decide to return your unopened pump or accessories, you must contact us to start the return process and to obtain a RMA number. Please review our return policies.

• Only products purchased from onewillow.com may be returned directly to us. For products purchased from our retail partners, please follow their instructions.• Willow pumps are single-user medical devices and returns must be new, unopened (no seals broken), unused, and in the original packaging.

best investment

Pros: I love my willow. I had a spectra with my first and I hated it. The willow is SUCH a better experience. My baby is in the nicu so I have to exclusively pump at the moment and with the willow I don't mind. I have an over supply & the fact I can use 7oz containers is perfect. (now I do over fill these at times as well but thats a good problem)

Now for cons: they are very minor but just something to keep in mind. The willow go has A LOT of pieces to clean and its kind of annoying after awhile. These also aren't the best at emptying if you are engorged. I find myself using my medela when I miss a pump session because again... over producer and the willow just won't empty me.

So easy that I'll actually pump!

I will actually use this one vs not wanting to use one with cords. I did learn that the Go works best for me while sitting (so I use while driving a lot instead of doing laundry or dishes!) and if I can create tighter suction with a tight shirt/bra. Great pump--thank-you!

Great Wearable Pump!

Bought this as I needed a hands free option, and it’s worked out great so far! My everyday pump was the Spectra S2 and I’ve found that the output from the Willow Go matches what I typically get from the spectra. Also haven’t had any issues with leaks which I was originally concerned about.
